Kapton tape, also known as Polyimide (PI) tape, refers to a polymer with imide groups (-CO-NR-CO-) in its main chain. Due to the presence of imide groups, thermally cured polyimide exhibits excellent heat resistance. By coating it with high-temperature pressure-sensitive adhesives such as silicone or acrylic, it can be made into a tape with outstanding high-temperature performance. It possesses excellent properties such as high and low temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, and solvent resistance, and maintains good performance even under extreme temperatures and vibrations, making it the optimal choice for designers. It can preserve the operational performance of machines under harsh conditions.
You-san Technology’s Kapton tape can withstand long-term temperatures of up to 260℃, and short-term temperatures of up to 280℃. Thanks to the high-temperature resistance of both the substrate (polyimide) and adhesive system (silicone, acrylic, etc.), Kapton tape finds wide applications in high-temperature fields. It is suitable for wave soldering tin shielding of electronic circuit boards, protection and insulation of gold fingers and high-end electrical appliances, insulation of motors, fixing of positive and negative terminals of lithium batteries, transformers, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and more.
The Structure Diagram of You-san Kapton tape series is as follows:
